Editorial Guidelines

1.1 Editorial Independence

Kmed Journal operates under a strict editorial independence policy. The Editor-in-Chief and editorial board members have complete autonomy in all editorial decisions. Editorial decisions are based solely on scientific merit, methodological rigour, relevance to the journal's scope, and potential impact — free from commercial, political, or institutional influence.

Publishers, sponsors, funding bodies, and advertisers (if applicable) have no role in manuscript selection, peer review processes, or editorial decisions. Any attempt to influence editorial decisions is considered a breach of publishing ethics and will be reported to relevant authorities.

1.2 Scope and Standards

Each Kmed Journal specialty publishes original research, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, case reports, case series, clinical guidelines, editorials, and letters to the editor that advance knowledge in their respective medical disciplines. All submitted manuscripts must represent original work that has not been published elsewhere and is not under simultaneous consideration by another journal.

We maintain high standards for scientific rigour, methodological transparency, and ethical conduct. Manuscripts that do not meet these standards, fall outside the journal's scope, or lack sufficient novelty or significance will be rejected at the initial editorial screening or during peer review.

1.3 Confidentiality

All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. Editors, reviewers, and editorial staff must not disclose any information about a manuscript to anyone other than the authors, reviewers, potential reviewers, editorial advisors, and the publisher, as appropriate. Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor's or reviewer's own research without the express written consent of the author.

1.4 Editorial Conflicts of Interest

Editors must recuse themselves from editorial decisions on manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest, including but not limited to:

  • Manuscripts they have authored or co-authored
  • Manuscripts from their own institution or department
  • Manuscripts in which they have a financial or personal interest
  • Manuscripts where they have previously been involved as a consultant or advisor

In such cases, the manuscript is reassigned to an independent editor who has no conflict of interest.

1.5 Diversity and Inclusion

Kmed Journal is committed to diversity and inclusion in all aspects of publishing. We actively work to ensure diversity in our editorial boards, peer review panels, and published authors. We do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, nationality, age, disability, or institutional affiliation.

We encourage submissions from researchers at all career stages and from all geographic regions, with particular encouragement for early-career researchers and those from under-represented groups or low- and middle-income countries.

Note:These policies are subject to periodic review and update. Authors, reviewers, and readers should check this page for the most current version. Material changes to policies will be announced via the journal website and communicated to registered users. For questions or clarifications about any policy, please contact the editorial office at support@kmedjournals.com.
